Ben Gallegos of Bernalillo died Saturday at home after 5 years in the area. Born March 4, 1904 in Cuba NM, he worked 30 years as a truck driver for Rio Grande Steel Co. He is survived by his wife Reyna Martinez Gallegos, two sons and their wives, four daughters and spouses, 41 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A rosary was recited Monday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, with a Mass on Tuesday. Entombment followed at Floral Gardens Mausoleum, Vista Verde Memorial Park, with burial arrangements by Sara Ru.

Born Galva JA October 1918 he served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and after injury attended University of Nebraska then worked 28 years at Sandia Labs as a mechanical engineer. A memorial gathering was planned at 3531 California NIE March 22 1992 from 1 to 5 pm with donations to the Animal Mumane Association or MADD in lieu of flowers. There will be no services.
