SSCAFCA faces July bond vote and board vacancy
Coppola has issued letters on SSCAFCA stationery reflecting his dissenting views. A July 28 bond election may dissolve the board if it fails, leaving a vacancy filled only until year end. The Albuquerque Public Schools Board approves Alternative 1 boundaries affecting Rio Rancho elementary schools. About 200 MLK Jr students move to Puesta del Sol and around 200 Puesta del Sol students move to Stapleton. Rio Rancho Elementary remains unchanged as MLK seeks relief from crowding. The boundary committee, formed of parents teachers principals and staff, began meeting in January.
