Sandoval County native Ty Murray eager to return to Albuquerque for the 20th annual Ty Murray Invitational at WisePies Arena The Pit March 18-20. Cleveland High Softball Wins Linda Crabtree Round Robin
The Cleveland High Storm, 5-0, claimed the Linda Crabtree Round Robin title in Farmington after beating Sliver High 6-4 Piedra Vista 12-8 and Aztec 3-0. They travel to Bullhead City next for the Tournament of Champions followed by the APS Metro Championships and Kristin Griego Memorial Tournament in consecutive weeks. The Storm host Manzano Thursday at 4 pm in the APS Metro first round at home, with Friday games set for 9 am or 10:45 am at Bullhead Park, and championship play plus placement rounds at Lobo Field on Saturday.

Memorial honors Hardwick as 1994 crash remembered
On the 20th anniversary of Puerto del Sol head pro Hardwick’s fatal 1994 car crash, Gutierrez now Sun Country PGA president and Kersting, Puerto del Sol golf director, planted a roadside memorial near Hardwick’s statue. They left a pin flag and clubs with a “play it forward” message, though the clubs were gone by morning and have been taken since.

New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame Inducts 8 for 43rd Class
The 43rd class will be inducted April 3 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Early-bird tickets through March 20 cost 75 with a 90 late rate. The banquet honors eight new inductees, the largest class, plus annual award winners Holly Holm Greg Jackson Mike Winkeljohn UNM coach Joe Franklin and the NCAA champion women’s cross country team.
