Bond passes Feuer wins and runoffs in districts 1 6

Feuer captured 54 percent in district 4 to defeat Ron Hensley and Ryan Parra. Districts 1 and 6 require runoffs between Jim Owen and Joshua Hernandez, and Lonnie Clayton and David Bency respectively. Voters approved a $9 million roads bond and most charter amendments. one amendment to raise salaries failed. Turnout was 9.92 percent with 5,608 of 56,504 registered voters casting ballots. Feuer, longtime Rio Rancho official, will be sworn in Monday.

The Sandoval County Business Development Department partners with scientist Rod Sanchez to establish the New Mexico Innovation Laboratory at the Intel complex. Second Germaine Casey Invitational motorcycle event Friday

Rio Rancho Police Motor Unit hosts the second annual Germaine Casey Invitational at Intel parking lot L from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry fees support Special Olympics. Officers compete individually, in pairs, or as four-person teams. about 50 riders from eight agencies joined last year. Public invited, no admission.
