Art show entries invited for 1987 Southwest Culture Festival

Entries are being solicited for the 1987 Southwest Culture Festival Art Show to be held July 17 to 19 at Highlands University in Las Vegas New Mexico. The theme is Mi Tierra Encantada My Enchanted Land with no medium restrictions and up to three works per artist. Deadline is June 27 with a $5 entry fee. Awards include 100 best of show 100 People's Choice and 50 honorable mention.

Explore the Zoo Midschoolers Camp at Rio Grande Zoo

Rio Grande Zoo offers a week long Explore the Zoo day camp for sixth graders and older. Seven sessions run 9 am to 12 noon from July 6 to Aug 21 with a crepuscular evening tour. Cost 30 dollars for New Mexico Zoological Society members and 40 dollars for non members. Limited to 15 participants per session. Pre register through the Education Department at 843 7413.
