Rio Rancho Considers Indoor Smoking Policy And Zoning Change
City Council may adopt the Clean Indoor Air Act setting July 1 1987 as the smoking policy for Rio Rancho employees customers and visitors. Smoking bans cover library public works building elevators restrooms storage areas and common areas while private offices may permit smoking and city lobbies remain open. The council also hears a zoning rezoning request for Rio Rancho Jewish Center from R-1 to C-1 to align zoning with current site uses.
