Rio West Community Church spearheads a 2000 square foot Home for the Heart facility to house Care Net Pregnancy Center of Albuquerque with a $1 year lease for at least 25 years. Groundbreaking expected in two to four weeks west of the Monterey Road church.

State inspectors finalize review of UNM SRMC in Rio Rancho
New Mexico Department of Health inspectors are in Rio Rancho for a three day final review of UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center. Hospital President Kevin Rogels says outpatient services could begin Monday if systems are ready after fire and regulatory clearances. The facility plans a July 9 inpatient opening with 68 to 72 acute care beds on 200,000 square feet.

The ninth annual Pork & Brew New Mexico State Championships takes place July 6-8 at the Santa Ana Star Center. Twenty six of fifty two teams will sell their final barbecue products plus 17 vendors offer various foods. Admission ranges from five dollars for adults to three for seniors with separate hours and a WWE event on Sunday.
