Rio Rancho governing body will discuss economic development and impact fees. Councilor Chuck Wilkins wants to review how much and whether to cut impact fees to keep pace with Albuquerque. Current fees include 4320 for single family homes 2967 for multifamily and 1000 per 1000 square feet for commercial.
Adrea Garcia an 18 year old Hope Christian School graduate spent 30 hours weekly painting the Lovelace Westside Hospital Inpatient Pediatric Unit. She created beach themed room numbers woodsy treatment room scenes and a tub room design to distract and comfort young patients. Her work inspired by teacher Robert Millar and aided by her nurse brother Ronnie led to a two week completion and praise from interim inpatient services director Rebecca Gallegos.
