Nurse Practitioner Joins Rio Rancho Health Center Board Certified PMHNP
Gary Allan, doctor of nursing practice, is announced as the new board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Rio Rancho Family Health Center 184 Unser Blvd. He will provide psychiatric and medication management services to children adolescents and adults. Allan holds multiple degrees and licenses including RN and marriage and family therapist. He and his wife Connie have three adult children and eight grandchildren. He enjoys travel history culture and spirituality.

Scout honors veterans with flag Eagle project
Sixteen year old Eagle Scout Vincent Santino created a flag memorial at Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding in Rio Rancho as part of earning the Eagle designation. The flag, flown over Kandahar in 2005, honors veterans and is donated by retired veteran Charles Heimerdinger. Loving Thunder, with The Wounded Warrior Project, provides free one on one therapeutic riding to veterans to ease PTSD symptoms.

Rio Rancho Budget Moves Funds for Water Projects and Purple Heart City
City council set to approve moving about 4.4 million from the water and wastewater utility fund ending balance to cash for three projects including a booster station between Tank 8 and Tank 13 and a recycled water tank with completion targets in mid 2016. The agenda also includes recognizing Rio Rancho as a Purple Heart City and other items such as a Taco Cabana site plan and changes to meeting participation and master plan setbacks.
