James M Gulick Passes Away in Rio Rancho Community
James M Gulick 77 longtime Rio Rancho civic leader and lobbyist died January 11 1982 in Rio Rancho. He helped shape local Democratic politics in Sandoval County and was active in civic groups including the Rio Rancho Residents Association and Sandoval County Central Democratic Committee. Memorial services were held January 14 Rev Thomas Keane officiating Honorary pallbearers included Lt Gov Roberto Mondragon and several local figures. He is survived by two sisters living with him.

He succeeds Rogal Businessman, Don Morgan, who served since June 1980. Sean McKee, former student and husband of Albuquerque dealer Lloyd McKee, elected to new chair position. Herman Guenther reelected treasurer. Sabine Olivas elected assistant treasurer. Edna Backes, head of Colorado Springs Sisters, reelected secretary. At the January 11 meeting the board changed annual meetings to January and set two year terms for officers.
