Public invited to Rio Rancho Unit 10 planning meeting
City of Rio Rancho invites residents to a public meeting on Thursday from 6 30 to 8 p m at City Hall to discuss proposed general land use map amendments for Unit 10 in the Comprehensive Plan. Unit 10 is unplanned and bounded by Unser Boulevard Southern Boulevard Rainbow Boulevard and Black Arroyo Road. Proposals go before the Planning and Zoning Board on January 27 with final approval by the governing body. Maps and details available at city site.

Rio Rancho offers free waste drop at local landfill
Rio Rancho residents may dispose of waste for free at the Waste Management landfill located at 1132 33rd St accessible from Northern Boulevard. The event runs Saturday from 5 a.m. to noon and requires proof of city residency and photo ID.
