SandRidge seeks to rezone land amid strong community opposition

SandRidge withdrew its plan to rezone two acres in Rio Rancho Estates from residential to special use for exploratory drilling after a split with the planning board. The Sandoval County Commission remanded the case to the P&I for concerns to be addressed, with a March 23 meeting set and plans for premeeting talks.
