Carper's caper nets fourth state bowling title win
Cleveland High School senior Janeyl Carper anchored the Storm to their third big school state bowling championship in four years at Tenpins & More. The only girl on the team, Carper delivered two top games of 279 and 278, carried an 198 average into the Baker-format final, and balanced plans to become a nurse after high school while avoiding pro goals. Her long involvement includes stints with Rio Rancho High School as a ninth grader and plays a guiding role for teammates with coach Jim Tillery and mentor Dana Miller-Mackie.
