Rio Rancho jurors found Chink Huynh 21 guilty on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against officers and related charges after a 40 mile pursuit on US 350 NM 4 to Jemez Springs. He faces up to 18 years. sentencing expected in a few months.

Man Arrested After Firing Near Children at Rio Rancho Complex
Rio Rancho police arrested Tyler Eeils, 20, of Albuquerque, on charges of negligent use of a firearm three counts of child abuse and possession of a controlled substance after a handgun was fired near children at Entrada Pointe Apartments on Jan 23. Officers heard a gunshot while responding to another crime and located a car fleeing the scene. Three children aged 7 to 15 were nearby when the shot was fired. Investigators are probing motive.
