Tuesday is election day for district 2 and 4 seats on the Rio Rancho Public Schools Board of Education. District 2 candidate Ramon Montafio, 40, a former Las Vegas NM school board member, and District 4 candidate Ryan Parra, 24, run unopposed. Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters in districts 2 and 4 who have not voted early may vote at Lincoln Middle School or Rio Rancho Elementary.

Detectives Probe Suspicious Death Near Rio Rancho
Sandoval County detectives investigate a suspected homicide after Matthew Senter, 30, was found dead near his vehicle at 400 10th Street near Southern Boulevard just outside Rio Rancho. Deputies were called around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. investigators say he argued with his girlfriend the night before and left the residence. Police and crime scene units assist.
