Fiestas de San Lorenzo stretches six days in Bernalillo
The Fiestas de San Lorenzo expands to six days this year from Tuesday, mixing three days of religious ceremonies and dances featuring Los Matachines with three days of city sponsored music and a carnival. Local leaders say the homecoming event draws Bernalillo natives back for family reunions and generations of musicians join Las Danzantes, with carnivals moved to weekend dates for attendance.
