Westhampton Freshmen Elect Tied Officers In Class Race
Freshman election at Westhampton ends in a tie for president and a tie for College Council representative. Marian Locke from Providence and Sally Moore Barnes of Richmond were contenders for president while June Laneley of Norfolk and Lavinis Winston of Richmond vied for the representative post. Locke and Barnes each led in their races. Locke plans to join hockey and Glee Club. Barnes previously held multiple officer roles and holds the Collegiate Scholarship. Winston, Jefferson alumna, has hockey participation and college activities to date.
