Hillbilly Fun Barn Dance Scheduled at Westhampton Keller Hall

A barn dance at Westhampton College Keller Hall on October 1 features a four piece string band and a figure caller. The event sponsored by the Y's of Richmond and Westhampton College will be informal with rural decorations and a tentative admission of 5 dollars per person.

Weakly Announces Directory Ready For Press Monday

Editor Everette Weakly says the 1949 50 Student Directory will go to press Monday and go on sale October 8. The YMCA sponsored publication lists students from Richmond Westhampton College and the School of Business Administration with addresses and phone numbers plus faculty contacts. The book features a complete contents, campus map, page titles by student classification, and a blank end page for extra numbers at seventy five cents per copy.

Annual Fall Retreat To Be Held Tomorrow

The University Religious Activities Council will host its annual Fall Retreat tomorrow at Dr. Broaddus Massey's Chesterfield County home. The group departs college at 4:00 p.m. and returns the same night with cabinet members of the YMGA and YWCA and campus religious organizations in attendance. Dr. Orthell Hand and Miss Mary Elizabeth Wrenn will also attend, with Jim Payne and Mary Lee Rankin presiding.
