Student Government President Charlie Tulloch announced Robert Alley will edit the 1952 Spider Handbook. IFC Elects Sipe Amid Brief Amendments to Constitution
Jim Sipe of Phi Kappa Sigma was elected president of the Interfraternity Council for the next school year, succeeding Jia Druckman of Phi Alpha. Pred Bisger, also Phi Alpha, became vice-president. The council adopted one amendment to tighten pledging by requiring nine semester hours and nine quality credits, and rejected a proposal to apply fall rushing rules to spring entrants.

UR To Award 300 Degrees At Richmond June Commencement
About 500 students will receive University of Richmond degrees on June 9 ending the commencement weekend started June 7 with Alumni Day. Dr. Francis Pendleton Gaines of Washington and Lee University will give the commencement address. Five honorary degrees will be awarded to Governor John Stewart Battle Dr. Morgan L. Combs L. Howard Jenkins Clifton G. Thomas and Rev. BE Norfleet Gardner. Gardner will preach the baccalaureate sermon at 7 30 p m June 8.

The Board of Publications will preserve funding while giving the editor policy control over content and format.
