Kyser Music To Hold Tea Dance At Richmond College Finals
Kay Kyser and his orchestra will play the Tea Dance at Richmond College finals on Tuesday afternoon June 15. Hudson Price reports the band’s signing was an unusually fortunate break and notes the added incentive for set-ticket buyers. Tea dance tickets cost two dollars for date and a dollar and a half for stay, with no price rise for set tickets. Kyser, a national figure, broadcasts weekly on Mutual and has recent Cotton Carnival and St Louis broadcasts.

Byrd to Speak Here Next Week at University Convocation
United States Senator Harry Flood Byrd will address the University of Richmond Convocation next Friday under Alpha Mu Omicron. Byrd, former Virginia governor and orchard businessman, is to discuss national government reorganization possibly. He will attend a Sigma Phi Epsilon banquet May 28 at the John Marshall Hotel.

Six glee clubs from Eastern Virginia Colleges meet at 8 15 tonight for a joint concert in the Greek Theatre at Westhampton. About 250 voices will sing free to the public in a revived custom by Richmond and Westhampton Glee Clubs. The idea came from Fred Laughan and Mr Small. Clubs include Richmond Westhampton Apprentice School Randolph Macon William and Mary and William and Mary Extension. Mr Small directs the men. Mr Troxell leads the group. Mrs Harker leads the women. Helen Miller and Curtis Haug announce the program.

The FCC authorizes amateur W3BZE operated by Richmond College students. They transmit at 7015 kilocycles with 35 to 40 watts from basement Marconis in the Physics Building.
