Tommy Pugh was elected president of the Forensic Council and Frank Conner named Richmond College Debate Manager at the group meeting last Tuesday night. A. W. Goode became secretary-treasurer with Straughan L. Gettier Robert Cotten and Joe Wornum as members at large. Pugh has served the past year as a member of the Ministerial Association.

Neff to Deliver Final Richmond Commencement Address

Baccalaureate sermon by Dr Harold W Tribble on June 9 at Cannon Memorial Chapel. Degrees conferred in Luther Jenkins Greek Theatre with Alumni Day June 8 and Alumnae Day June 10 at Westhampton College. Total graduates may exceed last year’s 178. honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees to Bishop Alexander Hugo Blankenship and Reverend Willis Herbert Brannock, both Richmond College alumni.

Grimsley Harris Grimsley was elected to succeed Porter Vaughan as president of Rho Eta Sigma the honorary history society at its meeting last Monday in the Administration Building. Other officers named include Simpson Williams vice president Nick Habel secretary Stuart Grizzard treasurer and Hart Fox program chairman. Rob Cotten joined the society and was appointed publicity chairman. The RWS petition to Phi Alpha Theta for official recognition is in order and will be mailed after the June faculty meeting if approved.
