Honorary degrees to four announced for Richmond commencement
Four men will receive honorary degrees at Cannon Memorial Chapel on June 6 as part of University of Richmond exercises. Dr. Harold W. Tribble and Dr. Edward M. Gwathmey will get Doctor of Laws, while the Rev. Vernon B. Richardson and the Rev. James H. Ivey will receive Doctor of Divinity.

Gilley and Hellerman Nominated for Vacant Richmond College Posts
Two Richmond College students were nominated to fill vacated Student Government roles after the resignation of treasurer Bo Nelson and athletic representative Shorty Long. Wellington Gilley would fill Long's post for the Student party, while Leonard Hellerman is the All-Campus pick for Nelson's treasurer seat. Sease said resignations were prompted by their upcoming moves to the Business School.

The Richmond College Fraternity Council voted no on sponsoring Opening Midwinter and Final dances due to continuing financial losses. No Final dances this semester and no University dances unless another group sponsors them. Other actions addressed pledging in summer school academic requirements dating period and length.

Annual Spring Concert by the University of Richmond Band
The University of Richmond Band under Mark Troxell will perform its Annual Spring Concert in Luther H Jenkins Theater Westhampton College. The program features first US rendition of Pindas a Greek military march and mixes semi classical and popular numbers from Barber of Seville to Hora Staccato plus arrangements of Glenn Miller songs and Juke Box novelty.
