Three faculty committees appointed by President Boatwright prepare a booklet detailing summer courses for national defense. Three Classes Nominate Men For '41 Officers

Richmond College announces 1941 class officer slates. Juniors nominate Wymbs and Klein for president with Amrhein and Green for vice president, Ethridge and Higginbotham for secretary, Gira gosian Hayley Weston for treasurer, Laird and Cox for senator. Sophomores and freshmen list their own candidates with election set for next Tuesday at the Playhouse.

Richmond Alumni Silk Cravat Bets Crimson Navy

UR Tie from Greentree's presents a crimson and navy silk cravat as a compliment to the University of Richmond community. It retails for one dollar with a small revenue share to the Alumni Association. The first tie was presented to Dr. Boatwright, who wore it this week.

Five WC Co-ords Rehearse Quintuplet Antics On Campus

Williams substitutes five WC coordinates for quintuplets in a one night show next Friday at the Greek Theater. The boarding house quintets Alex, Kate, Mady, Sally, and Frances perform May 9, presenting campus inspired antics with each character facing prime romantic misadventures and schemes to trap or heist a possible beau.

May Day Co ed Saturday Night Garden Theme at Westhampton

The Sophomore Class of Westhampton hosts a May Day co ed dance Saturday night from 9 to 12 at the Social Center Building. The garden setting features a flowering space with a vine arbor and boutonnières, lanterns, trellises, and lawn seating. Burt Repine's orchestra provides music under a striped awning with a memorial garden and tearoom intermission. The May Queen and court will lead a seniors and student government line up before a semi circle dance for sophomores and dates only. Refreshments of lemonade and sun flower cookies will be served in the tearoom.

Lambda Chi Alpha Dance Opens Eastern Conclave in Richmond

Lambda Chi Alpha Alpha Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha opens its first eastern conclave with Spring Formal in Millhiser Gym. A blanket bid covers all campus. event runs 9 30 p m to 1 00 a m with Pete Gravely and his eleven piece Old Dominion Band. Festivities include a banquet with Dr Raymond B Pinchbeck as speaker and addresses by city officials. Representatives from Virginia chapters of Randolph Macon Hampden Sydney Washington and Lee William and Mary and Maryland chapters at University of Maryland and Washington College attend.

Crowning of May Queen to Be Revealed in Play

Westhampton May Day celebrations begin at 8:00 PM with booths on the green. At 4:00 PM the original play Come to the Fair reveals and crowns the May Queen, in a Mother Goose themed production directed by Mrs. Betty Burns Nuckols with Evelyn McAuley as the Pied Piper and carrying away five children.

May Day Program on the Green Seeks Crowning and Parade

The may day events include an 8 PM play in the Greek Theater with the May Queen crown, a 4:45 PM Punch and Judy show, a 5 PM May Day Supper on the hockey field, a 6 PM Lantern Parade, and a 7:15 PM Peter and the Wolf in the Students Activities Building followed by a 9 PM Co-ed dance.

May Queen to Be Crowned at Senior Class Fair

The senior class selects Betsy Rice as Old King Cole who frees the May Queen from the crooked house and crowns her ruler of the fair. Mary Grace Scherer leads as Jack Horner while Barbara Puller plays Little Miss Muffet and Virginia Lee Ball as Tommy Tucker.

Y Cabinet Members Attend State Conclave at Camp Jackson

Five men representing the University of Richmond Y Cabinet left at noon for the annual state gathering at Camp Jackson near Roanoke. John Decker Walter Haden Bob Filer John Bain and Vernon Lankford were chosen to attend the three day camp. Bill Snead was sworn into the cabinet with Lankford leading the service.
