The University of Richmond announced two new assistant coaches Jim Tait and Dale Haupt. Tait, ex Mississippi State halfback and Meridian High coach, is slated for back field duties while Haupt, ex Town State defensive line coach, will coach the defensive line.

Modlin Call as University Explains Integration Questionnaire
Dr George M Modlin president of the University of Richmond says the Virginia college integration questionnaire was vague and misleading and the school did not object to answering it but lacked time to complete the form The university did not fully desegregate until last year and no longer keeps race records for all students or night courses with as many as 30 or 40 Negro students enrolled in extension programs past years.

University of Richmond Invitational High School Debate Tourney Scheduled
The eighth annual UR Invitational will be held tomorrow under Dr Hert Eb Bradley and the UR debate team. Fifty Virginia high schools will send both an affirmative and negative team from Bristol Virginia Beach and northern Virginia. The topic is federal compulsory arbitration in labor disputes. Trophies go to the top three aff and neg teams and the best combined team from a school. No school gets more than one trophy.

Freshmen Orientation Chairmen Named at Westhampton College
Westhampton College selects Joan Odland and Nora Rice as orientation chairmen for the fall session Students come from Arlington and Richmond respectively both juniors on the four member committee including Dean Clara Keith and Harriet Mann The pair begin choosing counselors and plan instruction while noting no town student background.
