Campaign Delay Puts Senior Class Elections On Hold

Richmond College considers extending the campaign to nearly a month for senior class offices. Nominations due March 20 and speeches March 22 with elections planned for April 19. Debate centers on date changes and building space for assembly and potential constitutional suspensions.

Peters Named To Receive MSU Grant

Richmond College junior Brainard Guy Peters is named among four national recipients of a $12,000 Michigan State University fellowship. An A student majoring in political science, he leads in campus activities and plans to pursue a doctorate at MSU.

Disappearance of Torch Opens 66 Greek Week

Greek Week began with the ceremonial torch missing at Millhiser Field. A substitute torch was found and events proceeded. SLuma Phi Epsilon pledges are implicated and will face Interfraternity Council Court. Brownie Sales won Greek Week Queen. Karla Brownmiller placed second, Robin Nelon third, Pat Temple fourth. Phi Gamma Delta led the Olympic games, with Sigma Chi second, and Phi Kappa Sigma won comic division. ODK carnival 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. features booths and a door prize AM FM clock radio. Greek Week ends with awards after Dionne Warwick concert. tickets $5 per couple.

IFC Concert To Feature Miss Warwick

The Interfraternity Council brings Dionne Warwick to Millhiser Gym tomorrow for Greek Week’s final event. Tickets are $5 per couple, available from IFC members or at the door. Warwick, famed for Don’t Make Me Over and Other hits, was named 1964’s Most Popular Female vocalist by the National Association of Record Merchandisers.

Dos Passos Named Boatwright Lecturer at University of Richmond

Novelist John Roderigo Dos Passos will be Boatwright Lecturer in Residence at the University of Richmond the week of April 25. He will lecture publicly April 25 and address English classes April 26 29 with private conferences possible. born in Chicago he now lives in Westmoreland Virginia and has written US A the Great American Novel trilogy The Forty Second Parallel Nineteen Nineteen and The Big Money.
