Westhampton Debating Teams Begin Series At Home And Abroad
Westhampton debaters start a series of public matches this week with three teams. Mary Anne Hall and Marion Clark depart for a New Jersey College for Women debate at New York University on capitalism versus its failure. Mary Billings and Virginia Atkinson host American University in the Westhampton Drawing Room tonight at 8. The third debate on March 21 features Billings, Atkinson and Clark against the University of Pittsburgh with audience voting on the winner.

College Government Elections Set For April 4
West hampton college will hold elections for college government officers on Monday April 4 during the first week after spring holidays. Voting occurs at the Red Cross Building at 3 o clock and participation is mandatory for all students. Elizabeth Pugate, president, says nominations will be posted before Easter vacation per constitutional rules.

Special Exams Set for April First and Second
Richmond College announces special examinations for first semester work in Room L on Friday and Saturday April 1 and 2 at 2 00 P M Students must pay two dollars per exam to the treasurer and show receipts to the dean The dean will notify the professor and prepare the exam Requests must be in the dean's office by noon March 23 Easter vacation. Summer School plans announced session runs June 1 to August 12.

Centennial Exercises Mark Richmond Campus Birthday

Dr Mitchell Moves Homeward After Illness at St Luke’s
Dr Samuel Chiles Mitchell head of the History Department at Richmond College, recently gravely ill, has improved enough to leave St Luke’s Hospital and return to Towana Road. Medical staff expect he can resume duties in weeks if progress continues. He fell ill with pneumonia in February and was moved to the hospital. complications followed and a minor operation was performed.

Construction Awarded for Maryland Hall Biology Building
Early this week Dr. Boatwright announced the award of the contract for the new $125,000 Biology Building named Maryland Hall. Architects are Charles Robinson & Co. and contractor A. J Perrin. The four story facility will include 24 rooms with specialized laboratories, a museum, a live animal room, and a cloister connection to the physics building. Occupancy is planned for January 1, 1933.

W. and M. Players to Present Handicap Comedy
The William and Mary Extension Players stage Handicap by Boyce Loving next Tuesday in the gym on North Shafer Street. The comedy follows a man who succeeds despite handicaps, with a cast led by Ray Hedley and Ed Segal and directed by Loving, a Richmond College graduate and noted playwright.

Kent's Collegians to Provide Music for Two Affairs
Kent's Collegians will play for two Richmond College social events at Millhiser Gymnasium. The Interfraternity Council Dance runs tonight 9 PM to 1 AM, and the Junior-Senior Prom Saturday 9 PM to midnight. Tickets for both dances are $1.75, single-event prices are $1.50 and $1.00 respectively.

On Friday night March 1 the Westhampton Glee Club performed in the Red Cross Building before a large audience of alumnae students and parents. Under Mrs F Flaxington Harker the program opened with Vive la musica and included Richards Along the Kings Highway sung from memory, soloists Marydee Lowe Helen Travis and Helen Le Grande and violin by Abe Whitefish.
