Famous German Actor Max Montor To Visit University
Max Montor, renowned German actor and interpreter, comes to the University of Richmond for a noon convocation on Friday March 17. The Carl Schurz Memorial Foundation supports the event. Montor, born in Vienna, studied in his native city and debuted in Zurich as Mephistopheles. He has performed over 600 characters in Europe and now offers a program of Goethe Schiller and Lessing in English with some German selections.

On Saturday night March 11 the Harlequin Club held a dance at the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house. Henry Bryan and his orchestra provided the music for attendees from Westhampton and Richmond colleges. Informal Dance to Initiate Vacation at Westhampton College
Mike Kent's Collegians will again appear on the campus Tuesday evening March 2 to lead a dance sponsored by the College Government Association in the Westhampton Dining Room from nine until twelve. Catherine Geoghagan chairs the arrangements with Gene Newton and Billie Allen. This first dance of the year is timed the night before spring holidays and is expected to draw a large crowd with holiday spirit. Admission is seventy five cents per couple or fifty cents for a single student.
