Mortar Board Selects Six WC Students
Six Westhampton students were chosen for Mortar Board, the national women’s honor society, in a candlelight ceremony at Cannon Memorial Chapel. The inductees from Richmond include Kitty Crawford, Margaret Porver, Louise Morrissey, Mayme O’Flaherty, Henrietta Sadler, and Mary Alice Smith. Porver will be incoming president.

RC Debaters Face New York U Davidson and USC
Richmond College debaters Dan Brock and Frank Conner met Davidson College in a non-decision debate on isolation, with tonight's match featuring Jack Rich and Ted Turner against University of South Carolina. Debaters Conner and Chauncey Welton may meet New York University next Tuesday. The debate manager Gilbert Sical will select the state trip participants after these three debates, with Straughan Gettier and T. B. Warriner Jr. preselected for April 28 to begin a four day Virginia tour.

The Spring Holidays start at 5:00 PM on Wednesday March 20 and will last one week. Students must return to classes at 8:30 AM on Thursday March 28 with double cuts counted on the days immediately before and after the holiday.

Students watch a lively Idots Delight production at the University Playhouse with a new original soundtrack featuring airplane sound effects from a Victrola. Professor Alton Williams notes late night efforts to coordinate chorus dancers as part of the Idramatics department’s show.

Westhampton College Athletic Association hosts a spring co-ed event on March 19 in the Student Activities Building gym.
