Sandler Elected SGA President by Landslide at RC
Artie Sandler won the Richmond College Student Government Association presidency with 485 votes to 97 for Richard Ferris and 88 for Trip Chalkley. Harvey Barker narrowly won vice president 534 to 310. Mickey Dowdy became secretary, and Bruce Booker secured treasurer by referendum. Voter turnout estimated 675 to 700. A $2 activities fee increase passed 398-274 along with a constitutional amendment 472-104.

The Party ticket captured nearly all SBA Student Government Association offices with John Ingold elected president and Steve Richerson VP. Nancy Martin, Bill Schneck, and Jerry Austin won key posts while Ingold urged legitimate changes, minority representation, and corporate responsibility. Senatorial picks included Tony Paciocco, Susan Hamill, Irby Williams. USGA lawmakers were Frank Oostenbacher, Dan Smith, and Mark Holpe. A dress code referendum will be reheld due to wording confusion.

Reservations Begin Monday for 1972-75 Richmond College housing
Richmond College students may begin on campus room reservations in the Student Center lounge starting Monday March 13 for the 1972-75 session. Priority goes to current on campus residents with juniors and fourth years signing up first, sophomores next, and freshmen last. Registration runs 6:45 am to 12:20 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Vice Rector Jesse Dillon Dies Devoted Friend of University
Jesse William Dillon, long-time State Corporation Commission member and vice rector at the University of Richmond, died March 2 after a long illness in Richmond. A prominent Virginian, he held public offices including secretary to the Commonwealth and chairman of the State Compensation Board, and he played on the Richmond football team nicknamed Bulldog. He is survived by his wife Margaret, three children, two brothers, and seven grandchildren. funeral services will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church with burial in Hollywood Cemetery.

Dormitory Closing for Spring Vacation at Two Colleges
Richmond College and Westhampton College dormitories will close at 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 25 1972 and reopen at 12:30 p.m. Sunday April 2 1972. A continental breakfast will be served Saturday March 25 from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. in the Richmond College Refectory and Westhampton Dining Hall. The evening meal will be served Sunday April 2 1972.
