Mortar Board selects five novices in campus ceremony

Five students Mina Karp Nancy Chappell Gracy Elliott Margaret Mitchell and Louisa Thompson were named to the local Mortar Board in a Greek Theatre ceremony. Karp is this year’s assistant editor of the Collegian and was chosen as president of the group.

Hamner To Play Senior Hop At Millhiser Gym Saturday

Plans for the Sen na Pie eee ts note Danes by Hamner to perform with his orchestra at Millhiser Gym on Saturday March 14. The ensemble, now broadcast weekly on WMBQG, provided the Wise for the Lambda Chi dance last Thanksgiving and is booked for Hampden Sydney the following week. The TC Wil lime Law School students elected John Ly. Ames as president Walter B. Rog era as vice president Dyrederick T Kingdon as secretary and red Ti Timberlake as treasurer All were unopposed in the election the first in years with no strong opposition Ames is a Randolph Macon College graduate and Phi Beta Sigma Omicron Delta Kappa Tau Kappa Alpha member He also belonged to the McNeill Law Society and was past treasurer of the Student Government Association Kingdon pre legal education at Hampden Sydney College Theta Chi and Delta Theta Phi member Timberlake studied at the University of Richmond and belongs to VI Doulta Sigma and Delta Theta Thi fraternities.
