Pi Delta Epsilon reports a slight campus majority for the twice weekly system with Westhampton voters decisive as Richmond College splits. The Williams School of Law yet to be heard from and a 26 vote plurality could swing results. The Drawing Room hosts a debate at seven thirty with Arlene Kramer and Ruth Stephen son on the negative side arguing that Congress should not override Supreme Court decisions. Ayer to Speak at Chapel Convocation

Thomas P. Ayer city librarian will speak at convocation today. He heads Richmond Public Library since 1924. Native of New Hampshire, he earned a modorgraduate degree at Brown and studied at Illinois Library School. He served at Brown University Library Providence Athenaeum and tutored at Columbia University Library and Library of Congress.

University Players elect ten new members for dramatic group

Ten were elected to membership in the University Players at the last meeting, five boys and five girls, including Ed Canada Margaret Carpenter Hilda Kirby Al Maner Helene Miller Harold Phillips Augusta Straus Henry Saeings Eli Troutner and Monroe Wells. Casting for The Enemy the spring play set for April 8 at the University Playhouse has been completed with rehearsals daily. The action takes place in Vienna during 1914 to 1919 with four acts written by Channing Pollock. President Griffin Garnett outlined plans for a publicity drive to make the campus war conscious before the production.

The 1986 Web drives subscriptions through two routes at the University of Richmond. Hunter Keck handles class subscriptions and Roger Page runs the campaign in fraternities to boost circulation and defend the annual against cuts. Subscriptions cost $3.00 and aim to surpass last year’s 155 with 180 now in Richmond College.

Glee Club Plans Tidewater Concert Tour

The Richmond College Glee Club will travel to Portsmouth on March 16 for concerts at Parkview Baptist Church and a sacred program that evening. Leader Fred Laughan says the group will tour Norfolk Navy Yards the next day before returning to Richmond Monday afternoon.
