Westhampton Junior Prom Feb 8 Led by McDonough and Phillips

Lucy McDonough chairs the Westhampton Junior Class Prom to be held February 8 with Robert Macon Phillips of the University of Richmond. Bert Repine and his ten piece orchestra will provide music in a seven teen dance program from nine to twelve. Tickets cost 1.15 and programs are available at the Student Activities Building.

University of Rhode Island announces tryouts for the production of Family Portrait to be staged March 14 and 16 at the Playhouse. With twenty eight speaking parts all students are urged to audition. The drama department notes no leads and aims for a large balanced cast in a simple reverent story of Jesus family set in biblical scenes culminating in Nazareth.

Chrysler Collection Sparks Richmond Talk On Modern Art

The Chrysler collection now on display at the Museum of Fine Arts stirs curiosity among Richmond residents with cubistic, impressionistic, and surrealistic works plus varied sculpture. Richmond Evening School adds four Municipal Administration courses

Four new courses in Municipal Administration for Richmond government workers were announced for the second semester of the University of Richmond Evening School of Business Administration. The program, directed by Dr. George M. Modlin, includes guest lectures from city officials and endorsements from Mayor Ambler, with in-service training co-sponsored by the University of Richmond and the College of William and Mary.

Richmond College Men in Auto Collision Near Grove Avenue

A two-car crash at the Grove Avenue Lexington Boulevard corner sent Henry Bullock and Nick Carter of Richmond College along with two other occupants to Stuart Circle Hospital. Carter and Bullock, Phi Gamma Delta members, had cuts. Rose suffered a fractured leg. Roger Levering was in shock. Robert Ford, driver of the other car, was unharmed.

The YMCGA will host a no admission double feature in the Physics lecture room at 8:00 P M on February 14. The program includes Pleasure Time with Patsy Garrett and Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians and Tobacco Land detailing tobacco production from planting to finished product. The Liggett and Myer's Tobacco Company sponsored these films earlier in the fall at the Mosque Auditorium.

Hodges to Speak on National Defense at University Convocation

Colonel LeRoy Hodges will address the audience at the university convocation Friday on national defense. He serves as comptroller of Virginia and previously led the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce. Hodges is an ordained officer in the Virginia National Guard and long active in the U S Army ordnance association.
