Shackelford, Cooperative candidate, won the athletic council seat last Tuesday on Richmond College campus. Bert Milling of the Progressive party lost by 76 votes. University of Richmond backs Belgian Building donation drive
The University of Richmond will support the Belgian Building Fund to move the structure from the New York World's Fair to Virginia Union University. A $250000 goal includes $100000 already provided by the General Education Board and state and national contributions. Efforts will extend through February 15 with students canvassing campus and campus shops collecting voluntary gifts.

Westhampton Class of 1942 plans a Arabian Nights prom in the Social Center Building tomorrow night from nine to twelve. The gym becomes a sultan's palace with red velvet and gold accents, arches, draped figures, and a six foot silver flecked ball. Next week include West Virginia University on Wednesday at 4 00 Richmond College Friday at 4 00 and Radford College Saturday at 7 30. Debates center on the national question should the Western Hemisphere form a permanent union. Constance Powell and Kitty Crawford debated George Washington University last Thursday.
