Collegian Secures Special Interview With Dr Kagawa
Dr Toyohiko Kagawa, famed Japanese Christian social worker, spoke at Virginia Union University Convocation in Cannon Memorial Chapel to a large crowd. A Richmond Collegian reporter gained special permission for an interview after his lecture on "How shall we find God" and answered questions about his name.

Students Vote to Restrict Athletic Council Terms
At a faculty room vote last Tuesday a proposal restricting the Athletic Council to one student body member for a one year term passed by a large majority. The change aims to update the student government constitution and improve representation. Charles Pyland and George Lacy serve as the official student representatives this year, chosen during the annual student government election.

Nine fraternities enter 1986 Rigmarole skits
The Riff-Raff Club selects nine social fraternities for the Rigmarole contest to be held February 20. Participating groups include Lambda Chi Alpha Pi Kappa Alpha Kappa Sigma Phi Kappa Sigma Sigma Phi Epsilon Kappa Alpha Phi Gamma Delta and Phi Delta Omega. Skits limited to 10 minutes with pre curtain acts and master of ceremonies. New songs feature College by Griffin Garnett with Julian Houseman and others.
Predictions that intercollegiate football will be dead in 1942
The Associated Collegiate Press notes threats to college football’s survival as 1986 ends. Paid athletic scholarships gain traction in Dixie and Southeastern conferences, while drunkenness and subsidization provoke calls for police protection and rule changes.
Special Yearbook Rate Announced for 1936 Web
The Richmond College Board of Publications announces a special yearbook rate. After January 16 the Web costs 2.75 instead of 3.00 and after February 16 the price returns to 3.00. Westhampton and Richmond College students urged to arrange portraits and proofs. make up sessions set for Westhampton and Richmond College.

Pastore Elected Head of Philologian Society
John Pastore senior and Bernard Gilman junior were unanimously chosen president and vice president of the Philologian Literary Society at a Monday meeting. William Turbyfill junior will serve again as Forensic Council representative. Charles Turner is secretary and Robert Putnam treasurer. Officers serve until June. The group approved full page representation on the Web and Trueman’s talk on camera use in the Department of Justice.
