Carol Party by BSU Sings Across Richmond

Richmond Debaters Sweep Virginia Invitational Title

University of Richmond Varsity Debate Team, led by Pat Minor Rex Adams Dick Keith and John Millar, secured a dominant win at the Virginia Invitational at UVa. The squad now has 31 wins against 7 losses this fall and four tournament sweeps this year. Adams extended his personal record to 11 wins undefeated. Coach Dr James L Golden lauds every varsity member for major-tournament success.

Military Ball tickets go on sale for annual event

Limited tickets at $1.50 are on sale for the Second Annual Military Ball set for 8:00 to 12:00 Saturday January 9 in Milhiser Gymnasium. The Scab bard and Blade honorary military society sponsors a formal dance with military decor and an arch formed by members and dates.

Alumnus and Two Others Added to Focus Week Team

The Religious Focus Week from February 8 to 12 gains three new team members a pastor and two seminary professors joining earlier appointees. Jack R. Noffsinger former Richmond director and current Gainsville Florida pastor joins as fourth member with past service as chaplain in World War II and teaching stints at Virginia Union University. Rachael Henderlight and Wayne Oates complete the lineup as seminary professors bringing expertise in Christian nurture psychology and pastoral theology.

Richmond Debating Team Makes TV Debut on WIVR

University of Richmond debate team becomes the first to appear on local television. Four debaters spoke on Free Trade policy with Pat Minor and Dick Howard for the affirmative and Sandy Bassett and Rex Adams for the negative.
