Rummage Sale By Boyden Women's Club October 11

The Women's Club of Boyden hosts a rummage and bake sale at the town hall on October 11 to raise funds for the Girl Scouts. Merchandise will be clean usable clothing and items, with a ten percent commission taken by the club. The Girl Scouts collect articles Saturday morning and a lunch will be sold. country residents are invited to bring items.

Annual Meeting of Sioux County Farm Bureau October 14

The thirty second annual meeting of the Sioux County Farm Bureau will be held in the Orange City Community Building Tuesday Evening October 14. The meeting opens at 7 30 p m. Murl McDonald assistant director of the Iowa State College extension service will be the speaker. Door prizes will be awarded to members. With membership at a record high the event is expected to draw a large attendance.

Annual C E Meet at Orange City

The 61st annual Christian Endeavor Convention runs October 9 to 12 in Orange City with over 1000 delegates expected from across the state. Miss Marcella Olson of Des Moines is president presiding. speakers include Dr. R. Drukker Berea Ky and Rev. A Branche Brewton Ala. A banquet and mixers are planned with conferences led by pastors professors and youth workers. Advance registrations go to Rev. R J Ongna Orange City.

Cattle Feeders Banquet Set for October Evening

The fall cattle feeders banquet happens October 15 at 7 pm in the Orange City Community building. Rex Beresford will speak on animal husbandry with other speakers planned. Tickets cost $1 and are available at local farms and banks, must be picked up by 6:00 pm Monday.

Woman's Club Meeting Includes Primitive Religions Talk

The Boyden Women’s Citizen ship Club met at Mrs. J. Vander Haar’s home with hostesses Mrs. Bergman and Mrs. M. Green. Devotions were by Mrs. Stutzman. Mrs. J. Van Diepen spoke on primitive and ancient religions in Nile Tigris Euphrates valleys. Plans for the District Convention were set.

Mulder Peters Visit Iowa City After Football Game

Mr and Mr M Mulder and son of Sheldon and Mr and Mrs Bernard Peters drove to North wood Friday and stayed overnight with Bernard Klein. Saturday they traveled to Iowa City to attend the Illinois Iowa football game and visited Vincent Peters a University of Iowa student.
