Boyden Opens Season With Victory in Debut
The Boyden High basketball team started the season with a 33 to 22 win over Ashton. Rostboom, a freshman center, sparked a fast start with a tipoff score and Boyden led 11-2 after the first period. Stykhuis and Den Herder anchored defense as Boyden built a 19-8 halftime edge before holding on for the victory.
