Funeral services for Rev. L. A. Brunsting pastor of the First Reformed church were held Tuesday at the home and church. He was born February 18, 1892 in Sioux county and graduated from the Western Theological Seminary in 1920. Survivors include his widow Margaret two daughters a son and seven grandchildren.

Iowa State College farm economist Francis Kutish forecasts a drop in meat output to about 147 pounds per person in 1948 from 1947's level of 155 pounds. Supplies will be tight from spring to fall due to earlier hog marketing and lighter slaughter weights, with fewer fed cattle next year, especially in spring.
