Sheldon Man Shot Self. Critical at Local Hospital

Tony Vos 38 of Sheldon is in critical condition at Good Samaritan hospital after firing two 22 calibre bullets at his chest in a self inflicted act Monday afternoon. He drove north about 14 miles to the county line road, shot himself, returned to Highway 18, and was picked up near the new viaduct by trucker Fred Fricke before being brought to the hospital. The bullets reportedly missed vital organs.
