Rensink Bros. bought the Prairie Queen Dairy near Sheldon from Mr. Scott Logan for 50000 dollars, about 770 per acre, comprising 65 acres near Sheldon. Personal farm property including cattle horses and hogs will be sold at public auction on Saturday March 22. see ad in this issue for sale details.

Farmers Oil and Grease Co of Boyden Formed

A new concern named Farmers Oil and Grease Co of Boyden is organized with Joe Steven as President. It will handle all kinds of oils and greases and will market Pennsylvania products. The location is not fixed but may lease the Veenschoten Garage building. An order for two carloads is expected the first of next month and many salesmen are planned to operate.

Neal Struyk Sale A Good One

The Neal Struyk sale held last Thursday March 13 drew a large crowd and netted 5792.00 for the property, about 1000 more than expected. Hogs averaged 71.00, cattle 135.00, top horse 190.00, and a $3200 disc sold for 70.00. Col Meyers acted as auctioneer with L P Struyk as clerk.

Local Residents Travel Between Sheldon Sioux City

Mrs. John Vander Hout and children were passengers to Sheldon on Saturday. Misses Gertrude Rowen horst and Dora Vanden Brink and Mr Steve Vanden Brink visited Sioux City on Tuesday. Among recent Sheldon travelers were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Heemstra, Mr. C. Sitter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kwikkel, and Mrs. Dave Vander Pol.

Red Cross Seeks Old Clothing for Relief Work

The Red Cross calls for donated clothing and has named Mr W S Tuttle as committee chair. He will collect at the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon March 29 for local relief efforts.

Baby girl born to Mr and Mrs P Beltsma

A baby girl arrived on Sunday, March 9, to Mr and Mrs P Beltsma. Mrs H A Beldt of Matlock spent last weekend visiting her parents. H Maris was a guest at his parents' home in Orange City on Sunday. Mrs Fred Peters of Matlock visited here last Friday evening at her father Mr Cole's home.
