Orange City Fire Destroys School
Flames of undetermined origin destroyed the grade and junior high school building in Orange City Iowa late Saturday. Barber John Bemmel on his way home discovered the fire and alerted the alarm. Firemen from Orange City and nearby Sheldon and Alton saved the connected senior high school building. The blaze began on the second floor. the building had been unused that Saturday.
