Vanden Brink Store Sold After 25 Years of Service

New Iowa Fishing Laws Open Most Panfish to All Sizes
The State Conservation Commission announces broad changes for 1948 fishing regulations. Panfish such as crappie perch silver and yellow bass sunfish bluegills rock bass and trout face no length limits this season while bullhead and catfish limits are eased and pike limits reduced. Fox Found Rabid Near Morrison Farm
A fox killed last week at the Jay Dykema farm five miles west of Morrison Illinois was found rabid. Farm worker narrowly dodged a bite when the fox lunged at his leg and he wore two overalls. The head was sent to Springfield for hydrophobia confirmation.
