Tornado Over Boyden Reported with Local Damage
Sunday morning a tornado caused damage in Boyden's east section with a funnel observed near the George road and wind lifting branches and trees. The creek south of the railroad ran high and six inches of rain fell. visitors included Mr and Mrs Fred Boerhave of Pipestone who stayed with John Dykstra and Nase Janssen households.

Missionary Convention Held at Goldfield
Nine Boyden ladies traveled to Goldfield for the Women's Missionary Convention of the Cedar Rapids Presbytery on Wednesday morning.
