The Grooters family reunion took place in Sheldon Park on Friday with 114 attendees from several states. Members of the Intermediate Girl Scout Troop held a picnic and skating party at Sheldon Tuesday evening. The Scouts and their leader Mrs. George Dickevers traveled by train and car from Boyden to return home after the outing.

Missionary Societies Hold Picnic And Meeting
The Lillian McConnell and Edna Pollock Missionary Societies of the U P Church held a picnic dinner at the Fred Reimers home. Mrs E Kammiade presided as president during the business session noting the W G M held at Monmouth and the Cedar Rapids Presbyterial Missionary Society Conference at Goldfield. The Cedar Rapids Presbytery reappointed Mesdames Doorenbos and E Kammiade to offices. Joe Horn led the meeting and Lena Bergman directed devotions.
