The Boyden junior team led by Vande Hoeven Vander Maaten and Rens hoped to top Hospers before rain halted play in the fourth inning. Scholten and Vander Maaten allowed Hospers 11 walks and 2 hits as the Co-ops trailed 12 9. The game will be resumed in July with Orange City on June 20 and Boyden facing Granville on June 23 in Orange City. Prospects for a strong season rise among local fans.
