Allie Zegers of Sheldon Iowa sued Richard Burggraaff of Boyden for 3077 claiming a mechanics lien for farm improvements. Burggraaff denied owed balance and claimed 2500 damages for faulty construction. Settlement dismissed liens and counterclaims. each side paid own witnesses and costs. Zegers to pay outstanding material accounts.
Henry Harman and his wife received a letter from Congressman Charles B. Heaven Hoen thanking them for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The note extends congratulations and wishes for health and happiness.
Miss Elaine M Johnson daughter of Mr and Mrs Conrad H Johnson married Kenneth V De Zeeuw son of Jake De Zeeuw at Union Presbyterian Church Sunday June 7 at 2 30 PM Rev Virgil Smith officiated the double ring ceremony. Bride wore nylon tulle gown with Queen Anne collar and carried roses and white stephanotis. Attendants wore nylon net gowns and rhinestone necklaces. Best man was Lorraine De Zeeuw and other attendants included Howard De Zeeuw Floyd Boucher and Clifford De Zeeuw. A reception followed in church parlors with a three tier cake and songs by Mrs Henry Oldenkamp Mrs Ervin Boone Jess Miller. The couple will reside at 1522 5 fourth St St Peter Minn after a trip to Denver Colorado.
Barbara Jean Bernisse a patient recovering from a ton sillectomy at Sheldon hospital on Monday. Rob Moret suffered a heart attack at home Sunday evening condition listed as fair. G. P. Horn returned home Monday from Sheldon hospital and is somewhat improved.
Those from Boyden who left Monday morning to attend a Bible camp at Camp Dodge near Des Moines this week were Misses Sandra Verrips, Arlene Harman, Beverly Doorenbos, Mildred Horn, Donna Van Houte, and Marilyn Kammalade. Those who took the girls up there were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harman and Lester and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Doorenbos.
