The 49th annual Stockholders meeting of the Farmers Co op Assn was held February 20 1957 at Boyden High School Gym. Carl Bruns read a business statement showing net savings of 167730.88 and patronage dividends were allocated. Alfred Doorenbos and Henry Wissink and Henry Westra were re-elected as directors for three year terms. The program featured the Dixieland Band Rev Henry Bank spoke on gas tax refunds Lloyd Smith discussed the refund department Sylvia Johnson district winner of a grain dealers speech contest spoke at the event Dee Prichett from Consumers Co op Assn gave a talk. A drawing followed with Wm J Vander Wilt winning the $25 bond. over 300 attendees were served lunch by the Boyden Women’s Club.
