The Girl Scouts met Wednesday afternoon at 4 oclock at the Legion building with 7 members and 2 leaders present. Harriet Bank was hostess and Mrs Leonard Rensink gave a chalk drawing. Town Council Proceedings Close February Session
The town council met in regular session with Mayor Gerrit Slothauber presiding. Receipts and disbursements through February 15, 1957 were reported, and a water analysis was satisfactory. The council discussed street oiling, tree cutting, and equipment purchases, including a used flat bottom trailer. The Boyden Public Library report was accepted with thanks. A resignation from Grooters was accepted. Chris Vander Berg was appointed to fill the vacancy. A visit to Slayton to investigate sewer plans was approved. Bills were authorized for payment.
