Aalders and Medema Open New Garage
Mr Wm Aalders of Hull and Mr Dick Medema of Inwood lease the former Boyden Garage opposite the barber shop to start an auto repair shop with an accessory department. Both are experienced mechanics and plan to open this week. The Aalders family has moved from Hull and are renting the Jim Eggink house near the creamery.

Basket Social at Miss Kamminga School Friday
A basket social to be held Friday evening December 5 at Miss Kamminga school two miles south of Boyden. A program, coffee and cake will be sold. Ladies bring baskets. At Town Hall party guests arrived as book or ad representations with a prize for the most difficult title. The Night Hawks club name was used as attendees left after 1 am.

Big Wolf Hunt Planned for December Ninth
Communities in Rock Valley and Doon organize a large wolf hunt for December 9 covering 8 to 9 square miles between Rock Valley and Doon. About 100 participants will form two starting parties under captains A F Schemmer of Rock Valley and F A Halliday of Doon. Proceeds from any game captured will go to the Red Cross of Lyon and Sioux counties.
