Mr and Mrs John Jongewaard received a letter from their daughter Miss Harriet announcing her safe arrival in Sialkot India on October 15. She enjoyed the journey and found family in good health at the foreign land. Bert Jongewaard and family welcomed Harriet upon arrival as friends and Miss Henrietta Cowden met Harriet about fifty miles from Sialkot.

Community Christmas Trees Planned by Boyden Club

At a Boyden Community Club meeting on Monday evening the group decided to buy community Christmas Trees for all business places with flag pole containers. They also voted $10 toward a large tree on the flag pole corner to be decorated and lighted. A. Vanden Brink and Wm. Van Giessen will supervise purchasing and placement of trees.

Man narrowly escapes arm loss in corn husker accident near George

Matt McCabe eight miles southwest of George nearly loses his right arm when a coat sleeve gets caught in corn husker rollers last Thursday at about 5 30 p m. He stopped the machine and used strength to prevent the rig from entering the rollers saving his limb. Fingers lacerated hand bruised and he will be unable to use the hand for some time but he considers himself lucky. Hilton Bros Drug Store advertises Palmolive sales.
